What we collect, and why.
Short version: nothing leaves your device unless you seek it out. The longer version is below.
Your progress stays on your device
Streaks, saved entries, quiz results, and the last-viewed pointer on /me are stored in your browser's localStorage. That means they never reach our servers — we don't have a database, we don't have a user table, and we can't see what you've read.
Clearing your browser data (or hitting Reset my progress on the dashboard) removes all of it. There is no backup because there's nothing to back up on our side.
No account. No sign-in.
The site doesn't ask for an email, a name, or any other identifier. There is no sign-in, no password, and nothing to recover. Your progress lives in this browser, on this device.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless analytics service that counts page views and referrers without tracking individuals. Plausible does not use cookies and does not build user profiles. The aggregate numbers tell us which entries readers find useful — nothing more.
Ads
A small number of pages may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to personalise ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
What we never do
We don't sell data — we don't have any to sell. We don't send email because we don't collect addresses. We don't fingerprint, we don't cross-site-track, and we don't serve content based on anything you read elsewhere.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Third-party services (AdSense, if loaded on a page with ads) may set their own; the list and options live at those services' own policies. We do not set a "consent banner" because we don't run an analytics tool that requires one.
Children
LexBrew is a reference site and is safe for all audiences, but it's not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above changes with it. The change history lives in the site's source repository.
